A Curiae held its first in-person board meeting and meet-and-greet a few weeks ago.
As a primarily virtual organization, this was our first time gathering in person, and it was an energizing and powerful experience. We had the pleasure of welcoming our newest board member, Ellen Leonida, and took the opportunity to discuss our roles, the organization's history, and our shared mission.
The meeting was also a valuable time to focus on how best to serve our federal district. Together, we explored ways to improve and implement programs that will have a greater impact on our clients and the community. With the exceptional talent and dedication of our board, the potential to expand A Curiae’s work is truly inspiring.
This gathering gave me time to reflect on how much A Curiae has grown. While the organization was designed to be virtual for cost efficiency and ease of commitment, meeting in person brought a different dimension. Sharing a meal, exchanging ideas, and laughing together reminded me of the importance of human connection in driving our shared goals.
I am remarkably honored to have such a committed, dedicated, and brilliant team supporting the organization. Thank you to our board and colleagues for making this meeting such a meaningful and productive milestone.
